Job Seeker Visa (Red-White-Red Card)
Austria's Job Seeker Visa allows highly qualified third-country nationals to search for employment in Austria. Based on the Red-White-Red Card points system, applicants must score at least 70 points based on qualifications, work experience, language skills, and age. Upon finding qualifying employment, holders can apply for the Red-White-Red Card work permit.
- University degree (Bachelor's or higher) or comparable qualification
- Minimum 70 points under Red-White-Red Card criteria
- Points awarded for: qualifications (up to 30 pts), work experience (up to 20 pts), language skills German/English (up to 15 pts), age under 35 (up to 20 pts), previous study in Austria (up to 10 pts)
- Proof of sufficient funds for stay
- Valid passport
- Health insurance covering Austria
- Proof of accommodation
- Cannot work during job search period
- Must find qualifying employment within 6 months
- Job offer must meet minimum salary threshold for Red-White-Red Card
- Subject to annual quotas
