Sweden offers a residence permit for job seekers who have completed higher education or research in Sweden, as well as for certain categories of skilled workers. - Completed higher education studies in Sweden (within past 6 months), OR
- Completed research in Sweden, OR
- Previous work permit holder seeking new employment
- Valid passport
- Proof of sufficient funds for stay
- Health insurance (if not covered by Swedish system)
- Degree certificate or research completion documentation
- Cannot work during job search period (some exceptions)
- Must find qualifying employment within permit validity
- Must meet salary requirements for subsequent work permit
- Limited to specific categories of applicants
Processing time: 2-4 months
Fee: SEK 2,000 (approximately EUR 175)
Apply online through Swedish Migration Agency (Migrationsverket). Must apply before current permit expires
