Global Talent Visa
The UK Global Talent visa is for leaders or potential leaders in academia, research, arts, culture, and digital technology. It allows talented individuals to live and work in the UK without a job offer. Endorsed applicants can stay for up to 5 years and may apply for settlement (permanent residence) after 3-5 years depending on their endorsement.
- Endorsement from approved body (Tech Nation for digital technology, Arts Council England for arts/culture, British Academy for humanities, Royal Society for science, Royal Academy of Engineering for engineering, UK Research and Innovation for research)
- Valid passport
- Proof of English language ability (if from non-English speaking country)
- Evidence of achievements in your field
- TB test certificate if from listed country
- Must maintain activity in endorsed field
- Cannot access public funds until settlement
- Must report changes in circumstances
Processing time: 3-8 weeks
Fee: £192 endorsement + £192 or £771 visa fee depending on duration + £1,035/year Immigration Health Surcharge
Two-stage process: First get endorsement (up to 8 weeks), then apply for visa (3 weeks). Fast Track available for Tech Nation applicants
